Man arrested in armed bank robbery in Garner, police say

GARNER, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man was arrested in connection with a reported armed bank robbery that occurred Friday morning.

It happened at the Bank of America on Benson Road. A town official stated that a firearm was implied during the incident. The suspect left the scene before authorities arrived, either on foot or in a vehicle.

Authorities identified the suspect as Raymond Lee Dean III, who was taken into custody in Northwest Raleigh. Garner police executed search warrants and recovered evidence related to the investigation.
