RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- With two days left until puck drop, Carolina Hurricanes national anthem singer Adam Lee Decker says he is already feeling the energy brewing inside the Lenovo Center.
"You walk into this building, and it's a funnel. You're going to fall into it," Decker said.
Decker has become a familiar face to fans -- and to the team itself -- as his performances continue gaining national attention.
"Yeah, exactly. Apparently, allegedly Svechnikov knows who's going to be singing the anthem every time. So I love that," he said.
On Tuesday, Decker walked ABC11 through his routine inside the Lenovo Center as he prepares to perform before a sold-out crowd and a nationally televised audience for Thursday night's Eastern Conference Finals opener.

"It's one of those things that are just it's so raw. It's so fresh. It's alive, and I love it," he said.
Despite the growing recognition, Decker said he remains grounded.
"Everybody kind of knows my face and my name, and it's my opportunity to show everybody that I'm just kind of a normal dude who appreciates hockey," he said.
Often, Decker jokingly said, he'll have to think about what he wears outside the house for errands and other activities. Decker, a musician himself, also performs at weddings and was once a contestant on "America's Got Talent."
Before thinking ahead to a potential Stanley Cup run, Decker said his focus is on the immediate task as he preps to lead the arena and hockey fans into Game 1.
"I'm just glad to lead the charge," he said.
