Delta Air Lines flight lands safely at RDU after reporting mechanical issue

MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Delta Airlines plane safely landed at Raleigh-Durham International Airport after reporting a mechanical issue.

Flight 5823 left Orlando, FL, at 11:38 a.m. and landed at RDU at 1:21 p.m., according to Flight Aware.

An RDU spokesperson told Eyewitness News that the crew called ahead to alert officials about the potential issue.
