Durham Parks wants resident feedback on park renovation project

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Durham Parks & Recreation is hosting an open house Wednesday night to gather public feedback on renovation plans for a local park.

The Merrick-Moore Park Aquatics Center is set to undergo a major remodel, and city officials want to hear from residents as they shape the "Splash and Play" project.

The updated aquatics center will feature a modern design and new amenities, including zero-depth entry, a lazy river, and a dedicated pool for recreational swimming for people of all ages and abilities.

Residents are encouraged to attend the open house, learn more about the project, and share their input. The event will be held at Wheels Roller Skating Rink on North Hoover Road from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
