Frito Lay to lay off nearly 70 workers at Raleigh warehouse

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A popular snack company has announced layoffs in Raleigh.

Roughly 68 warehouse employees at the Frito Lay distribution center at 8924 Midway West Road will be laid off.

The company notified ABC11 on Tuesday to clarify that the warehouse is not closing and the site will remain fully operational. However, they are shifting how warehouse operations are managed at this location.

The layoffs are effective as of Sept. 6. The company said WARN notices have been sent to all workers who will be affected.

Frito Lay said affected employees will be provided with information about other job openings, and the company will work to place some at nearby facilities.
