Frito Lay to close Raleigh warehouse, lay off nearly 70 workers

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Layoffs are happening in Raleigh.

Roughly 68 warehouse employees at the Frito Lay distribution center at 8924 Midway West Road will be laid off.

It comes as Frito Lay will be discontinuing its warehouse operations on Sept. 6.

The company said WARN notices have been sent to all workers who will be affected.

Frito Lay said affected employees will be provided with information about other job openings, and the company will work to place some at nearby facilities.
