Google launched a new feature this month that allows users to set their preferences for who they get their news from in search results.

The "Preferred Sources" feature, which launched in the U.S. and India in mid-August, lets users pick their favorite news sources so they can see more of their articles displayed within "Top Stories" when searching for topics on Google.

Google explained on its products blog that people will still see content from other sites. The feature just serves up content from users' preferred sources more frequently. The company added that people can manage their selections at any time.
