
NASHVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Nashville Police Department is investigating a suspicious death on school property Thursday.
An active investigation is underway at W.L. Greene Alternative School.
Police have asked residents to avoid the area.
A Nash County Public Schools spokesperson said the property is owned by the school district but is not operating as a school.
W.L. Greene "has not served as a school or in any other capacity other than a storage place for some years," the spokesperson added.
