Greensboro Police say 9 people shot on West Gate City Boulevard
GREENSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- Greensboro police say nine people were shot early Monday morning in the 3800 block of West Gate City Boulevard.
Several callers contacted 911 to report gunfire, and authorities said multiple victims were shot inside the Royal Banquet Hall.
Officials said the nine victims included one 15-year-old and three 17-year-olds. Their identities have not been released.
None of the victims were transported to a hospital by Guilford County EMS. Instead, all arrived at hospitals in private vehicles.
EMS treated one additional person at the scene for a minor graze wound, but that individual declined further treatment and was not transported to a hospital.
When officers arrived, they arrested two men near the scene of the shooting.
The Greensboro Police Department has not announced any charges.
Police said there is no ongoing threat to the community. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
