Investigation underway after driver crashes into Clayton restaurant

A driver crashed into a restaurant Saturday morning in Clayton.

It happened at Vinson's Pub and Restaurant on East Main Street. A viewer sent photos into ABC11, showing a car partially through the exterior wall.

Authorities say the restaurant was closed at time of the crash, and the driver -- believed to have had a medical emergency -- was taken to a hospital.

The building has been deemed unsafe.

The incident is under investigation by the Clayton Police Department.
