Large fire burns at Dollar General store in Granville County

CREEDMOOR, N.C. (WTVD) -- Crews are battling a large fire at a Dollar General store in Creedmoor on Thursday evening.

The fire is burning at the discount chain's store at 202 S. Main St.

In a photo submitted by a viewer, thick clouds of smoke can be seen rising from the building.

Fire crews from Northern Wake and Durham County responded to assist with the effort.

There's no word yet on how the fire started or whether anyone was inside the building at the time.
