
RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- The City of Raleigh is honoring a heroic father-son duo on Wednesday.
Dec. 10 marks Larry Pickett Day in Raleigh.
Mayor Janet Cowell recognized two hometown heroes, Larry Pickett Jr. and his father, Larry Pickett Sr.
The two saved a man from a burning car when they were driving home from dinner in upstate New York in September.
The younger Pickett graduated from Enloe High School and is a sophomore at West Point, where he is a defensive back for the Army football team.
