

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A motorcyclist died after crashing into a Fayetteville Area System of Transit bus Saturday afternoon, police said.
The Fayetteville Police Department responded around 4:30 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a FAST bus on Cedar Creek Road near Troy Drive.
Investigators said the bus was stopped to unload passengers when the motorcyclist attempted to change lanes and pass the bus, striking the rear of the vehicle.
The motorcyclist, identified as John Wood, 60, of Fayetteville, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
The Fayetteville Police Department's Traffic Unit is investigating the crash.
