Moore County man wins $100k in scratch off lottery game

PINEHURST, N.C. (WTVD) -- It was a lucky day for a man in Moore County after winning a $100,000 scratch-off lottery prize.

David Walston of Pinehurst bought his winning $20 Ruby Red 7's ticket from the Shop N Save on N.C. 211 East in Candor.

After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $71,756.

The Ruby Red 7's game debuted in August with three $2 million top prizes and nine $100,000 prizes. Three $2 million prizes and seven $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
