NCDMV modernization project aims to transform customer experience

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Following a competitive process, the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles has selected Kyndryl for its system modernization initiative.

Fourteen vendors submitted proposals and the NCDMV selected Kyndryl's NCMAX solution, citing its balance of proven technology and modern capabilities.

NCMAX will replace five legacy COBOL-based systems the NCDMV has operated since the early 1990s.

The NCDMV said the new system represents a significant step toward exceptional customer service and faster, more efficient services for North Carolinians.
