Pedestrian hurt after being hit by SUV in Johnston County

SELMA, N.C. (WTVD) -- A person is recovering Tuesday night after being struck by an SUV in Johnston County.

It happened around 6 p.m. near East Lizzie and Spindale streets in Selma.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene.

Selma Police are investigating what led up to the crash.
