Brush fires along I-540 intentionally set, Wake County Sheriff says

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Wake County Sheriff's Office is investigating multiple brush fires along I-540 as arson.

The fires closed all lanes of I-540 at Capital Boulevard at one point on Saturday, but they have since reopened.

The fires were reported at several locations along I-540 near Glenwood Avenue, Leesville Road, Creedmoor Road, Falls of Neuse Road, and Capital Boulevard.

Anyone with information that would assist in the investigation is asked to call WCSO at 919-856-6911.
