RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- New details have emerged in the murder of Ravenscroft teacher Zoe Welsh.
The biology teacher was attacked in her home in January and later died from her injuries.
Ryan Vincent Camacho, 36, was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree burglary.
Welsh was on the phone with 911 when she was attacked.
According to newly released search warrants, Camacho had details about Welsh's death when he was interviewed by detectives after the crime, making comments about "the lady I killed" and mentioning that he used a rock as a weapon.
Court records showed Camacho had been arrested two dozen times across Wake and Durham counties.
A Wake County grand jury formally indicted Camacho on Feb. 10.
