US Open to return to Pinehurst in 2024

PINEHURST, N.C. (WTVD) -- The United States Golf Association made it official Wednesday by announcing that the U.S. Open will return to Pinehurst in 2024.

USGA President Thomas O'Toole Jr. called Pinehurst No. 2 one of the great and historic places in golf in the country.

It will be the fourth U.S. Open at Pinehurst.

Last June, the resort hosted back-to-back open championships with the men and women.

It's early but dates for the 2024 U.S. Open are June 13-16.
