Walk to End Alzheimer's 2026: Join ABC11 in Taking Steps Across the Region
RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Alzheimer's impacts over 7 million Americans nationwide.
In North Carolina, more than 210,000 people live with the disease, supported by an estimated 338,000 caregivers.
Chances are, you or someone you love will be impacted-making it a cause that touches every community and every generation.
That's why ABC11 is proud to sponsor three Walk to End Alzheimer's events across our viewing area.

Form a team, walk, volunteer, or donate. Each Walk brings together people affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias, along with family members, friends, caregivers, and community supporters.
A highlight of the event is the Promise Garden ceremony, when participants carry flowers representing their connection to Alzheimer's and dementia. Together, the flowers symbolize the community's commitment to fighting the disease.
Why Every Step Matters
The Alzheimer's Association uses funds raised through the Walk to advance its mission of accelerating research, promoting risk reduction and early detection, and providing care and support for those affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias.
There is also reason for hope: New treatments, advances in research and greater awareness of brain health are helping move the fight forward.
