Maryland man arrested for defrauding person living in Wake County

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Maryland man has been arrested and charged with defrauding a Wake County resident out of $93,000.

The victim discovered numerous unknown bank accounts and credit cards on their credit report.

Further investigation showed the victim also had numerous companies in their name in Maryland, all with outstanding bank accounts, credit cards, and loans over an 18-month period.

On Monday, Wake County Sheriff's Office arrested 45-year-old Wisdom Banks-Bey in Maryland who is now facing more than a dozen charges including identify theft and fraud.
