DURHAM (WTVD) -- Authorities in Durham are investigating a fatal shooting at an apartment complex early Monday morning.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. in the 4800 block of University Drive.

Police found Spencer Garrett Harrison, 21, of Durham, critically wounded. Paramedics rushed him to Duke University Hospital. He died there Monday afternoon.

The incident does not appear to be random at this time, according to investigators.

One of the victim's neighbors said she was woken up by police sirens.

"It worried me, I was scared because I've always felt safe here," said neighbor Shelby Bargren. "Everybody is very friendly, we always say hello to each other... I really hope that we can find out who did this."
