Chinese Lantern Festival wraps up another record-breaking season

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Clean-up will begin today at Koka Booth Amphitheater in Cary after the North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival wrapped up its 10th season.

And it was another record-breaking year.

More than 249,000 people attended the event, featuring hundreds of handcrafted lanterns.

This season drew visitors from all 50 states and eight countries.

And 22 nights were sell outs.

The NC Chinese Lantern Festival will return to Koka Booth Amphitheatre in November with an entirely new collection of lanterns, ready to shine once again.
