Man accused of holding wife captive for years will not face charges, records show
A grand jury has declined to indict a man accused of holding his wife captive.
A Texas man who was accused of holding his wife captive for five years is no longer facing charges, according to court records.

Court documents show that on May 28, a grand jury declined to indict James Earl Johnson for the charges that surfaced in March.
At the time, police said he held his wife captive inside their $1 million Houston home, which they shared with their kids.
Prosecutors said Johnson held his wife, who has an unspecified disability, under lock and key with no phone access.
Court documents say that when Johnson finally left a phone on the nightstand, the victim used it to call 911.
But police say Johnson cut the call short, allegedly slapping his wife and carrying her back to bed before hanging up on the 911 dispatcher.
Johnson was arrested after the 911 call.
