The Hurricanes and Derek Ryan have agreed to terms on a one-year deal in which the forward will make $1.43 million this season.
The Miami Heat re-signed longtime forward Udonis Haslem to a new contact on Friday. The team did not announce the terms but is for the room mid-level exception of two years and $5.5 million, sources told ESPN.com.
