Former Vice President Mike Pence said Friday he will not be endorsing his former boss Donald Trump in the 2024 general election.
The former president and vice president are scheduled to appear on Saturday.
The letter from DOJ's National Security Division comes the week before Pence is expected to announce his candidacy for president in 2024.
The former vice president joins Donald Trump in the GOP primary race.
Pence was inside the courthouse for more than seven hours.
The visit comes as many speculate whether he will announce a 2024 bid for the White House.
