Raleigh Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that left one person dead Thursday.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Raleigh Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that left one person dead Thursday.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of Glenwood Avenue.

According to the crash report, 29-year-old Blake Kristopher Tercero died in the crash.

The report says that Tercero was driving at a high rate of speed and doing what was described by a witness as a "wheelie."

Tercero ran up against another car and then swerved off the road and hit a tree, according to the police report.

He died at the scene.

The driver of the other car involved was not injured, and the car received $2,000 worth of damage.

Glenwood Avenue reopened shortly before 5 p.m.
