Dr. Lisa Shock, Chief Population Health Officer, UnitedHealthcare, shares what anxiety disorders may look like in children and which children are at higher risk.

Lisa is an innovative population health executive with National expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, and Value Based Care. Bringing 15+ years of experience managing clinical services within healthcare environments, she has expertise in all areas of clinical operations, value-based care, technology and telehealth, sales, strategy development, and communications. Lisa joined United Healthcare in November 2021 and is enjoying developing, designing, and leading all things Population Health for their NC Managed Medicaid Plan.

Lisa is currently one of the only Physician Associates (PAs) nationwide with continued active clinical practice in outpatient medicine, and experience in inpatient medicine, long-term care, Population Health administration, consulting, and academics. She received her PA education from Duke University and her Doctorate of Global Public Health from UNC Chapel Hill. Lisa's experience includes expertise in Community and Family Health, Geriatrics, and Rural Health. Lisa served two terms on the North Carolina Institute of Medicine Board of Directors and is currently on the NC Public Health Commission.

Lisa is married to a government chemist with two daughters. Her older daughter is a preprofessional dancer pursuing her BFA in Modern Dance at Point Park University and hopes to be on Broadway one day. Her younger daughter is in high school and loves rock climbing and volleyball. Their family enjoys Disney trips as often as possible to have quality family time.
