DMV office in Durham to close temporarily due to bed bugs, officials say

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles office in Durham will be closed for the next two weeks due to a bed bug issue, officials said.

The driver's license office on South Miami Boulevard is expected to remain closed until July 13.

A DMV spokesperson told ABC11 the bed bugs were brought into the office by a customer.

Examiners who typically work at that location will be reassigned to other offices during the closure.

Customers with existing appointments will be able to reschedule for a new date, time and location.
