General Hospital Spotlight: Chris McKenna

Chris McKenna began his career in community theater at the age of 7 in New York.

At the age of 11, he was cast in the ABC Daytime Drama "One Life To Live" as Joey Buchanan, a role that he played for nearly 4 years.

He has starred in numerous movies and TV shows throughout his career.

In February 2025, he debuted on General Hospital as the recast for "Jack Brennan".

McKenna says he is very excited to be reunited with his former Executive Producer from OLTL Frank Valentini, the current EP for GH, as well as his friend Laura Wright, who once played Ally Rescott on the ABC Daytime series "Loving", and now has been a mainstay as "Carly Spencer" on GH.

He sat down with General Hospital Insider and ABC11 photojournalist Dearon Smith and spilled the tea on his career, both past and present, as well as some exciting news coming to the set of GH in the fall.
