Charges dismissed against some UNC protesters
The Orange County District Attorney's Office confirms charges have been dismissed against some protesters cited by police this past spring for refusing to leave the encampment area.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- Charges have been dropped against some people who were arrested on UNC's campus during pro-Palestinian protests in late April.

More than three dozen people were detained and thirty of them were cited for trespassing and released on-site. Ten of them were UNC-Chapel Hill students.

The arrests made were during a clash between protesters and law enforcement officers enforcing an order for encampment tents to be removed.
