Woman ejected from car during Moore County crash

MOORE COUNTY (WTVD) -- Five people are in the hospital following a crash in Moore County.

Authorities said the incident happened around 6:30 Wednesday night on U.S. 1, a few miles south of Vass.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene where they believe a pickup truck ran into the back of a car, sending it off the road where it may have rolled over.

During the crash, officials said a young woman was eject from a vehicle.

She was flown to Chapel Hill by Carolina AirCare and the others were taken to Moore Regional Hospital.

Officials have yet to release the names of those involved or the severity of their injuries.
