Worker killed in Benson home-construction site accident

BENSON, N.C. (WTVD) -- One person is dead Tuesday night in what authorities are calling a workplace accident.

Officials said it happened on a new-home construction site in the 1300 block of Zack's Mill Road not far from I-40 in Benson.

Another person was evaluated by EMS workers.

The Johnston County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
