A Raleigh man allegedly spat and threw coffee on a group of school kids waiting at their bus stop Monday morning.

Police charged Samir Taoufik, 41, with three counts of assault on children under 12.

According to an arrest warrant, it happened around 7:30 a.m. in the 3600 block of Horton Street.

Raleigh Police Spokesperson Jim Sughrue says Taoufik actually lives on the same street where the incident happened.

Sources say Taoufik was upset by noise the children aged 10, 10 and 9 were making.

None of the children were injured.

A magistrate set bond for Taoufik at $6,000.
