Fayetteville police have released surveillance photos of two men who they say are persons of interest in a shooting Friday outside Royal Cigars & Tobacco.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 500 block of McArthur Road.

Police say 24-year-old Miguel Yusuf was sitting in his vehicle, when a rear passenger pulled out a handgun and shot him.

Investigators say the suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a burgundy or dark red Nissan Altima that was parked nearby.

Yusuf was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Surveillance cameras captured two men in and around Royal Cigars and Tobacco prior to the shooting. Police believe the man wearing a white shirt and blue jeans is the suspected gunman. The second man is believed to have driven the suspect away.

Detectives are actively investigating the shooting and believe it was not a random act.

Anyone with information concerning the shooting is asked to contact detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department at (910) 433-1856 or Crimestoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
