NC sheriffs support McCrory's Syrian refugee decision

Governor Pat McCrory has called for an immediate stop to the flow of Syrian refugees into the state.

Local sheriffs are publicly announcing their support of Gov. McCrory's decision to ask the federal government to cease sending Syrian refugees into North Carolina.

In McCrory's statement, he said he believes North Carolina should not receive any more refugees until he is satisfied with the thoroughness and effectiveness of federal background and security checks. This announcement comes in the wake of the terror attacks in Paris that killed 129 and injured hundreds more.
