Woman says her sister was shot in face, car stolen by man who shot 2 other women in Fayetteville
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- The older sister of 24-year-old Isabella Dolin says her family's world was turned upside down after an early Sunday morning attack left Isabella hospitalized and fighting for her life.
According to her sister, Leighanna Bullard, Isabella had stopped at a Food Lion for coffee before work when she was approached by a man demanding her car.
"She would have drove that man wherever he needed to go, but instead he tried to take her life," Bullard said Monday.
Authorities have charged 52-year-old Robert Page with multiple felony counts in connection to a string of incidents that began around 7 a.m.
His charges include:
- Two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder
- Two counts of Discharging a Weapon into Occupied Property
- Two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury
- Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
- Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
- Possession of Stolen Goods/Property
- Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon

Cumberland County deputies say the spree started on Messenger Street, where they found a woman, identified as Page's girlfriend, with a gunshot wound.

"There was obviously a domestic incident with his girlfriend. The other two incidents appear to be victims that, we're just in the wrong place at the wrong time," said Cumberland County District Attorney Billy West.
From there, prosecutors allege Page took his girlfriend's car and drove to a Hardee's parking lot on Ramsey Street, nine minutes away, where he attempted to carjack a couple and shot the woman inside the vehicle. He then drove to a nearby Food Lion, where Dolin was attacked.
Bullard described the harrowing encounter: "He pulled up behind her and he said, I need this car. She laughed at him, and because of that, she laughed. And that's just who she is. And he was, No, I need this car and he pushed her and then he shot her in the face. He then attempted to stop her car, but he could not figure out how to crank it."
Page was apprehended without incident after police tracked his whereabouts.
"The defendant did surrender without incident once that police department was able to figure out his whereabouts after he fled the scene from the carjackings," West said.
The vehicle Page was believed to be driving was found near the Ramsey area, about six minutes from the last incident.
Bullard says the past 24 hours have been devastating for her family. "Why? What was their motive?" she asked. She saw her sister for the first time in the hospital Monday, and says Isabella faces a long road ahead. "She will have to have reconstructive surgery."
Bullard describes her sister as resilient and says the family is now raising money online to help with her recovery.
