Truck driver killed in fiery Hwy 264 crash

NASH COUNTY (WTVD) -- A fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer truck kept firefighters busy Tuesday afternoon.

It happened on Highway 264 at Stone Heritage Road in Nash County.

Pictures from Chopper 11 showed the big rig off in the woods on its side. The truck apparently caught fire after the crash and the flames spread to the woods.

Officials said the truck driver was killed.

The crash was under investigation and Highway 264 was closed in both directions.
