Power lines came down on one car, an electric vehicle, and caused it to catch on fire, Northern Wake Fire told ABC11.
It happened near the intersection with Pendleton Lake Road.
No injuries were reported.
An estimated 1,000 people were without power in the area as a result of the crash.
Honeycutt Road is shut down. Wake County deputies were directing traffic, and Duke Energy had crews out quickly to work on repairs.
