Goldsboro police are investigating two shootings in Goldsboro after a 14-year-old boy was found dead and a man was found injured Sunday evening.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- A 14-year-old boy died in a double shooting in Goldsboro on Sunday.

Goldsboro Police Department said the shooting happened before 4:30 p.m. at HV Brown Park. Officers responding to the emergency call found the 14-year-old's body shot multiple times.

A second emergency call brought officers to Olivia Lane. There they found 32-year-old Tarquek Lamar Garner suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Garner was rushed to the hospital for treatment. His condition remains unknown.

On Monday afternoon, investigators revealed that they believed both people were shot in the same incident. The circumstances surrounding what lead up to that shooting remain unclear, but an eyewitness told ABC11 it may have stemmed from an argument on a basketball court.
