

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating a homicide after a shooting in east Durham Friday morning left a woman dead and a man seriously injured.
Officers responded around 12:38 a.m. Thursday to a report of a gunshot wound in the 900 block of E. Main Street. When they arrived, police found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said the woman later died from her injuries. The man's condition has not been released.
The shooting happened near the Durham Hosiery Mill Apartments, where investigators spent much of Friday morning processing the scene. Crime scene tape surrounded the area as detectives searched for evidence. A mobile command center was also brought in as part of the investigation.
Police have not released the identities of the victims or information about a possible suspect.
