NC election officials to discuss 2026 preparations, absentee ballots

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- North Carolina State Board of Elections officials are holding a media briefing on Thursday to discuss preparations and absentee ballots.

Officials will also discuss the initial mailing of absentee ballots on Friday to voters who have requested them.

Sam Hayes, the State Board's executive director, is expected to make the announcements.
