A robber with a sword took almost $4,000 from a Raleigh hair salon on Saturday.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Authorities in Raleigh are searching for a suspect who robbed a Raleigh beauty salon Saturday morning with a sword.

It happened just after 11:30 a.m. at Customers Come First African Braids in the 5600 block of Western Boulevard.

He made off with nearly $4,000, according to Lyresha Seligmiller who was working at the salon Saturday morning.

She said she was with a client when a guy came in with a Little Caesar's T-shirt.

"He asked if we sell rings," Seligmiller said. When she told him no, he lingered for a bit, then left.

"Ten minutes later a guy comes in with a mask on, a hoodie and a sword in his pocket," Seligmiller said. "He said I don't want to do anything that I shouldn't, just give me all your money."

She just wanted him to leave so she handed over what was in the salon.

"I feel like the first guy was casing it and he was looking around to see what we had and the second guy, he was taller than the first so it was two different people," Seligmiller said.

Police said the robber then jumped into a tan and gold Toyota Camry driven by another person.
