Multi-vehicle crash on I-95 N leaves 1 dead, several injured in Cumberland County

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A multi-vehicle crash on I-95 N Saturday morning left one dead and several others injured.

Just after 2 a.m., authorities responded to the scene near mile marker 62. The crash involved five vehicles, including a pickup, two SUVs, an Amazon truck, and a fully loaded charter bus.

Highway patrol confirmed one person was pronounced dead at the scene, while several others were taken to the hospital.

Authorities said all northbound lanes were closed for several hours.
