Durham Rescue Mission in need of turkeys for holiday meals

DURHAM (WTVD) -- The Durham Rescue Mission needs your help to make the holidays a little better for those in need.

The mission is asking for turkey donations to help provide food for the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

The Thanksgiving Community Dinner for the poor and needy will be on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27, at noon at the Durham Rescue Mission's Men's Campus located at 1201 East Main Street in Durham.

Turkeys donations need to be dropped off by Tuesday, Nov. 25. Online donations may be made at www.DurhamRescueMission.org or call (919) 688-9641, Ext. 5037.

The Christmas Community Dinner and Toy Give-Away will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 23.
