RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- An American Airlines plane flying to Dallas Fort Worth had to return to Raleigh-Durham International Airport Monday morning.

The pilot radioed the control tower about a problem with a sensor on the cargo door.

The plane landed safely. Crews then inspected the plane.
American Airlines says it was a faulty sensor that caused a light to display in the cockpit.

There was no emergency declared.
