EASTOVER, N.C. (WTVD) -- Animal Control officers said an anonymous tip led them to a disturbing case of animal abuse in Cumberland County.

Officers found a malnourished pony with overgrown hooves, a hungry pit bull mix, a live chicken, and several dead birds at the Eastover property.

They also found a skull belonging to an unknown animal.

Once officers find the owners, they will most likely face animal cruelty charges.
