New details revealed in NCCU student's death

RALEIGH /*Latrese Curtis'*/ body was found January 30, 2008 in the grass near the Highway 401 exit on Interstate 540 highway. The 21-year-old's body was spotted by a passing driver.

Curtis worked at Sears at Triangle Town Center and she was also a night student at /*NCCU*/ in Durham. Her family said the night before she called her husband to tell him she was on her way back home to Raleigh. That was the last time family members heard from her.

Her husband, Darin called 911 Wednesday morning, an hour after she was found.

According to the autopsy report released by the Medical Examiner's Office in Chapel Hill, Curtis died from, "multiple sharp force injuries." The report shows Curtis was beaten and stabbed more than 20-times.

/*Robert Reaves*/, 43, of Durham was arrested and charged with Curtis' murder just days later. Reaves has a prior criminal record, including an arrest on sex charges while he was the pastor of a church in South Carolina.

Wake County Sheriff's deputies say the investigation is ongoing.
