All of this follows the unveiling of the family's new home from the hit show Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Crews spent more than 140 hours working on the house.
Designers made it accessible for Jeff Cooper a war veteran, confined to a wheelchair.
"It was honestly a blessing that was the first thing that ran through my mind that so many people who don't even know you had enough heart to come out and help a complete and total stranger," daughter Wendy Cooper said.
Neither Jeff Cooper nor his wife attended Saturday's event. His children say their parents were so overwhelmed from the unveiling, they needed to rest.
The Cooper family episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition airs Sunday May 3 at 8 p.m.
