It's the first weekend down at The Docks without two of its major restaurants. Just two days ago, the Navy Bistro, The Courtyard and Tango's shut their doors for good after financial troubles. The City of Toledo says Tom Cousino, the owner of the Navy Bistro and Tango's, was behind nearly $100,000 in rent. The Real Seafood Company and Zia's Restaurant remain open, as well as Metropolis nightclub. Some are saying foreign investment at The Docks is in the works. Councilman Rob Ludeman told 13abc Chinese investors are interested in The Docks, the Marina District, as well as the other side of the Maumee River. We'll keep you posted on any new developments.

A new flight from Toledo is grounded just weeks after its first takeoff. Delta cancelled its round trip flights from Toledo to Detroit in November and replaced them with two round trip flights to Minneapolis. Now one of those is cut. The airline says there was not enough support to sustain both flights, but some wonder how they could come to that conclusion so quickly.

This could be the year of even more fees for airline passengers. Last year, domestic airlines delivered the biggest profits in a decade, collecting more than $2 billion in fees during the third quarter alone. The Bureau of Transportation estimates passengers paid $900 million in baggage charges and more than $600 million to change flight reservations. AirfareWatchdog.com predicts we may soon be seeing infant fees, carry-on bag fees, and credit card fees.

A local medical team is down in Haiti helping earthquake victims. Dr. Linda Greene and Dr. Richard Paat are headed back to Haiti with medical volunteers to provide treatment and care to people who need it. Today the team held a packing party while getting ready for the trip. The team also traveled to Haiti last year right after the earthquake hit.

Cub Scouts are getting ready to start their engines. The Andersons hosted a woodworking clinic in conjunction with the annual Pinewood Derby. The scouts were invited to bring their car kits, and professional woodworkers were on hand to help them out. Volunteers taught the scouts how to safely use power tools, while also giving their race cars that winning edge.

A 10-year-old Ohio boy who kept guns in his bedroom and is accused of killing his mother has started a debate over whether children should have access to weapons. Authorities say the boy shot Deborah McVay, 46, after an argument over chores. Psychologists caution that a 10-year-old can't comprehend the long-term consequences of using a gun to harm someone. The boy has plead the equivalent of not guilty to a charge of murder as a juvenile.

There are new details tonight about an explosion at a furniture store in Wayne, Michigan. Two people were killed in that explosion. An investigation into that incident could take months. The Michigan public service commissioner says investigators are looking at a natural gas main as the likely source of the December 29 blast. Investigators are interviewing employees of Consumers Energy and analyzing a section of the damaged gas line.

Mail processing has resumed at a government facility in Washington, D.C. where a package ignited yesterday. The incident followed two similar ones on Thursday in Maryland state government mailrooms. The president of the postal workers' union says it's all bringing back painful memories of the 2001 anthrax attacks that killed two postal workers.

It's getting crazier by the day. Now, dead birds are falling from the sky in Italy. Dead turtle doves, thousands of them, have fallen dead in Italy over the past few days. Experts theorize it was an overdose of sunflower seeds that killed them. This is the 15th incident of dead wildlife around the world since New Year's Eve.

Hundreds of Elvis Presley fans, including a Chilean miner, gathered at Graceland today to celebrate the king's birthday. Edison Pena was one of the Chilean miners trapped under ground and he was the guest of honor at today's celebration. Pena sang Elvis songs to lift the spirits of 32 other miners during their ordeal. Elvis would have turned 76 years old today.
