Person found dead in house fire in Chapel Hill

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Chapel Hill Fire Rescue is investigating a deadly house fire in the city.

Crews were dispatched to the fire just before 7:00 a.m. at the corner of Redbud Lane and Honeysuckle Road, according to a news release.

One person was found dead inside the home.

There are no other reports of injuries. The person's identity and cause of death have not been determined. The state's medical examiner's office has been notified.
